Beyond white — the full colour range
The same fine, wood-grain movement that defines White Wood Marble, drawn from four separate quarries across Guizhou. Same limestone formation, same karst geology — different mineral conditions at each site give each quarry its own base tone.
All four colourways come from Guizhou's karst limestone belt, with quarries spaced roughly 100–200 km apart. The stone itself formed the same way at every site — sediment deposited and compressed over hundreds of millions of years — but small differences in mineral content and local geological conditions at each quarry produce distinct base tones and grain character, from cool grey-blue to warm coffee brown.

Grey Wood Grain
The coolest tone in the range, with a light, neutral grey base and the same fine, continuous linear grain as our standard White Wood Marble. The banding runs consistently across the slab face, with minimal colour drift from block to block — a result of the tighter, more uniform mineral deposition at this particular quarry site within the karst formation.
Visually, it reads as calm and contemporary rather than warm or rustic, which makes it a natural fit for cooler metal finishes — brushed steel, chrome, matte black hardware — and minimalist interiors where a beige or brown undertone would read as too warm for the intended palette. It also photographs cleanly under neutral or cool-temperature lighting, which is worth factoring in for showroom or hospitality specification.

Athens Wood Grain
A warmer, taupe-beige tone that sits between the cool greys and the deeper coffee colourway. The grain is slightly softer and more blended than the Grey or Blue colourways, with less contrast between individual banding lines — a visual signature of the specific mineral composition at this quarry, roughly 100–200 km from our primary White Wood Marble site.
This softer grain structure gives Athens Wood Grain a gentler, more traditional appearance, and it tends to read as warm without tipping into a strong brown undertone. It pairs particularly well with warm timber flooring, classic architectural mouldings, and brass or bronze fixtures — the kind of transitional interior palette where a starker grey or a heavily contrasted grain would feel out of place.

Blue Wood Grain
A cooler, blue-grey colourway with the most pronounced contrast between its lighter and darker grain bands of any stone in the range. Where Grey Wood Grain is quiet and even, Blue Wood Grain's banding is bolder and more graphic — the natural result of a higher concentration of darker mineral streaking laid down during the same geological deposition process, but expressed more strongly at this particular quarry.
Because the grain reads more assertively, Blue Wood Grain tends to work best as a deliberate design statement rather than a quiet neutral backdrop — a feature floor, an accent wall, or a single dramatic slab used as a book-matched centrepiece. As with any strongly figured natural stone, we'd recommend confirming vein orientation and slab sequencing at the layout stage, since the contrast that makes it striking also makes mismatched panels more noticeable than with a subtler colourway.

Coffee Wood Grain
The warmest and darkest colourway in the range, with a rich tan-brown base and deep, well-defined grain lines. It shares the same fine linear structure as the rest of the family, but the higher mineral density at this quarry pushes the overall tone noticeably further into brown territory than Athens Wood Grain, without crossing into the heavier, more uniform look of a solid-colour brown stone.
This depth of tone makes Coffee Wood Grain useful as a grounding element in otherwise light, neutral interiors — a kitchen island against white cabinetry, a bathroom vanity top paired with pale tile, or a reception desk that needs to read as substantial rather than blend into the background. It is generally the colourway clients reach for when White Wood Marble's grain character is wanted but a lighter tone would wash out against the surrounding materials.
